About Myself
Hello! I am Dr. Gladis Germano, OB-GYN, endometriosis specialist and endoscopist. Besides being a physician, I am a mother of 3, I teach surgery to gynaecology residents at the university (Faculty of Medicine, UdelaR) and collaborate in endometriosis research with Uruguayan scientists (particularly, metabolomics studies in patient cohorts).
Besides my everyday clinical work, I like to spread awareness about endometriosis, so you might see me creating social media content on Instagram or being interviewed about this topic (see the Entrevistas/Interviews section to see examples). I was always passionate about helping my patients get a good diagnosis/treatment and to feel understood and supported during their journey. It's still a disease that is under-diagnosed and not properly treated due to its complexity and heterogeneous presentation. I contribute providing top-notch care and creating a comfortable and positive environment for them.
